Aiming for sharing the wealthy resources of Taiwan with global communities, UDP has been dedicated to produce high-quality and professional databases since 1997. UDP is the multi-award winner within the fields of humanities and social sciences. We keep innovating ourselves not only through the advance of information retrieval technology, but through the expansion of supreme, exclusive digital content as well. UDP is the pioneer database company who produced the first digital version of “BiaoDien Gujin Tushu Jicheng” archive in the world in 2003. Since then, UDP has won numerous subsidies and fundings from government, in order to develop cutting-edge products to meet researchers’ needs and preserve culture legacies.
By collaborating with our reliable partners — Academia Sinica and National Central Library in Taiwan — UDP is able to deliver the most up-to-date resources to researchers locally and internationally. Our services have been providing over 70% academic institutions, libraries, universities and high schools in Taiwan, including National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Academy for Educational Research, and so on. In 2004, UDP partnered with East View Information Service, the leading provider of multi-lingual databases and digital services in USA. In 2017, UDP partners with China Educational Publications Import & Export Corporation Ltd. to support more research communities who need the first-hand, full-text materials of Asian Studies around the world.
UDP has been supporting more than 1,000 academic institutes in 26 countries across Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania. Besides Taiwan, more than 40 academic centres choose our products for further sinology research in China and USA respectively. To date, our oversea services are trusted by 130+ sinologist organisations of great reputation, such as: Peking University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the University of Tokyo, the Ivy League universities, Library of Congress, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of London, among others.
